Brief Description
Conflict management is the process of limiting the negative aspects of conflict while increasing the positive aspects of conflict and the aim is to improve effectiveness and performance in organisations.
Is conflict damaging your business and making your life miserable?
- Workplace conflict is bad for business
- It can lead to downturns in productivity and increases in absenteeism
- It is both stressful and unpleasant
- 25% of employees stated it resulted in sickness and absence from work
- Almost 10% reported it led to project failure
- More than one-third said that it resulted in someone leaving the company, either through firing or quitting
All of these negatives translate into real financial losses through lost efficiencies.
However, reductions in conflict can lead to increased employee productivity, greater motivation and loyalty, lower medical costs, fewer workers’ compensation claims, and reduced litigation costs.
